On December 24, Pakistan’s first online national pavilion on JD.com was launched with the aim of providing a useful platform for Pakistani and Chinese traders to promote high-quality Pakistani products in the huge online marketplace of China.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque inaugurated the pavilion on the e-commerce platform in a simple ceremony held at the Pakistani Embassy.

Zhao Lijian pointed out that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperation partners and steadfast friends and brothers.

Since 2011, China has become Pakistan’s biggest trading partner. Pakistan’s exports to China are also growing rapidly, he added.

The spokesperson said that the Chinese side is ready to work with Pakistan to continue to strengthen our cooperation in cross-border e-commerce and digital commerce.

“We support more quality and specialties from Pakistan to the Chinese market and take concrete steps to promote the high-quality development of bilateral trade cooperation to develop more benefits for our two peoples,” he said. added.

Speaking to APP, Ambassador Haque said that in view of the growing trade and trade relations between Pakistan and China, the national pavilion would provide a useful platform for Pakistani and Chinese traders to promote Pakistani products. in China’s huge online marketplace.

He said that while the pavilion will serve as a starting point to further explore the excellent opportunities offered by China’s digital economy, it will also complement the efforts of Pakistan’s offline pavilions which are already operating in various cities in China, including Chengdu. , Kunming, Urumqi Yiwu and Zhengzhou.

“In addition, this pavilion would also provide a window to promote Pakistan’s culture, cuisine, tourism and people-to-people exchange,” he added.

While qualifying the launch of the pavilion on China’s largest historic second-hand e-commerce platform, he said that this online pavilion will provide a very important platform for Pakistani traders as well as Chinese importers to promote Pakistani products in one of the world’s largest markets.

Ambassador Haque also mentioned that this platform will promote Pakistani products in Chinese markets.

“Our traders and exporters can open their stores and showcase their products through this platform and Chinese importers can also sell their Pakistani products,” he added.

Ambassador Haque pointed out that China is already the largest e-commerce market in the world, and for Pakistani traders, this is a very important time to take advantage of this opportunity.

“We are not only training our traders, raising awareness of this green e-commerce activity in China, but we are also strengthening their capabilities,” he added.

He said Pakistani food, clothing, leather goods, sporting goods and even furniture could be promoted through this online platform.

He informed that a bilingual app in English and Chinese is being developed to overcome the language barrier and Pakistani traders could use this app to connect to this platform.
