You can verify your eligibility here to see if your specific address is eligible for the service. Verizon says it plans to continue adding cities.
Verizon offers lower price to existing mobile customers
Verizon offers two separate prices for its 5G home internet service. If you already have a Verizon mobile plan that costs $ 30 / month or more, you can add Internet for $ 50 per month. If you are new to Verizon and only want internet service, it will cost you $ 70 per month. Both of these monthly rates assume automatic payment and paperless billing.
Obviously, this is how Verizon tricks you into getting the company’s mobile and internet plans.
Verizon 5G Home Internet Users Can Expect 300 Mbps
Verizon says its 5G home internet offers Typical download speeds of 300 Mbps and maximum speeds of up to 1 Gbps, which it says Allows multi-device streaming and gaming. The company says customers can also expect download speeds of around 50 Mbps with no data limits.
Customers will be able to connect to the Verizon 5G network through a WiFi Gateway Device, which is included in the price of the plan. (Self-installation is free.)
The Verizon 5G network comes with no annual contract and no cancellation fees.
If you sign up for Verizon’s 5G Home Internet before April 21, you’ll get a one-year ad-free subscription to Discovery +, valued at $ 84.
Discovery + streams more content from Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, ID, Animal Planet and more. It also features original content including Oprah Winfrey’s new show, Super Soul. (Pro tip: The subscription will auto-renew after one year, so if you don’t want to start paying for Discovery + after 12 months, be sure to cancel your subscription.)
Final thoughts
If Verizon 5G is available at your address, it is worth considering, especially for Verizon mobile users, due to its affordability and fast download speeds. Without a contract, there is no penalty for trying it out, and if you stick with the plan for a year, you can enjoy Discovery + for free.
